家文化是中國文化之根，在某種意義上，中國文化就是以家為本位的文化，儒家主張經由修身齊家治國，最終完成天下命運共同體的建構。中國家文化與西方家文化有著根本的差異，它最能彰顯中國文化的特質。朱子是中國家文化和家哲學的集大成者，他建構了一個系統而縝密的家哲學思想體系。「家」積極參與了儒學本體論的建構，仁禮智為家本位主義倫理學的核心理念，讀書窮理、居敬涵養、修身正己、勤儉治家則是家哲學的力行實踐，萬物一體、天下一家是家哲學的最高境界。

In a sense, Family culture is the root of Chinese culture in which people value family above all else. Confucianism advocates that through self-cultivation, the whole family should govern the country, and complete the community of shared future for world. There is a fundamental difference between Chinese and western family culture, which can best highlight the characteristics of Chinese culture. Zhu Zi, who had built a systematic and rigorous thought system of family philosophy, was the great master of Chinese family culture and family philosophy. Firstly, the concept of family takes part in the ontology of Zhu Zi’s philosophy. Secondly, the core idea in this ethics of family departmentalism is Ren, Li and Zhi. Thirdly, being reasonable through reading, cultivating moral self-discipline character and managing household frugally are practice of family philosophy. Lastly, the unity of everything and the world becoming a big family, are the highest state of family philosophy.
