燻蒸劑一直是保存穀物的重要化學品，隨著溴化甲烷被發現會在大氣中破壞臭氧層，在易於擴散、對主要害蟲物種之高效性、相對低廉的成本以及監管機構對殘留物的接受程度，磷化氫成為廣受歡迎的燻蒸劑。本文藉由職業案例為起點，回顧了近年的磷化氫中毒案例，揭示其相關危害以及毒性機轉。

Fumigants have long been important chemicals for grain preservation. With the discovery that methyl bromide depletes the ozone layer in the atmosphere, phosphine has become a popular fumigant due to its ease of diffusion, high effectiveness against major pest species, relatively low cost, and regulatory acceptance of residues. This paper, starting from occupational cases, reviews recent phosphine poisoning incidents, revealing the associated hazards and toxic mechanisms.
