我國的失智人口正在快速增加,依據世界衛生組織(WHO)的推估,全球平均每三秒即新增一名失智症患者;再者,台灣失智症協會的調查亦顯示,我國六十五歲以上的老人,失智症的發生率高達8%,且年紀愈大患病率愈高。目前台灣的家庭照顧者約有90萬名,其中大部分均未具備相關背景或是照顧服務員(以下簡稱照服員)之專業,除了承擔照顧失能者的責任,亦須承擔照顧失智者的工作,但家庭照顧者在照顧能力上較為生疏,容易造成照顧者及被照顧者雙方的心理壓力,因此,除了教導家庭照顧者照護技能外,持續提升照護品質及照顧者對於失能者及失智者的專業知識,是刻不容緩的議題。本產學合作計畫增能課程有四部分:分別為(一)產出18種基本居家照護多媒體影音教材;(二)辦理並完訓一梯次照服員訓練班課程;(三)辦理零基礎照護培訓課程共6場次;(四)辦理照服員在失智增能培育訓練課程共2場次。其成果如下:(一)居家照護技巧18種教學影音教材,分別以中、英、印、越等四語版本製作,輔助本國以及外國籍照顧者學習,並於本校護理系及亞東紀念醫院官方網站公開外,亦於亞東科技大學護理系官方Youtube頻道提供觀看,總點閱次數31,483次;(二)辦理一梯次照服員訓練班課程,培育照服員並投入職場,收訓人數共38人,結訓合格人數38人,合格率100%,留任在亞東紀念醫院工作近20位,整體平均滿意度達4.5分;(三)辦理6場零基礎培訓課程,免費教導家庭照顧者正確照顧技巧,共參與67人次,整體滿意度4.8分;(四)辦理2場居服員在失智增能培育訓練課程,以提升居服員對失智病人提供專業服務,共參與46人次,整體滿意度4.8分。在專業師資、場地及多媒體教具的輔佐下,除了有效提升家庭照顧者的照顧知識及技能外,更透過多方資源,培育專業的照服員投入長照行業並且持續深化其專業知能,共同提升照護品質。

英文摘要

The population of dementia patients in our country is increasing rapidly. The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that a new dementia patient is diagnosed every three seconds globally. In addition, according to a survey by the Taiwan Alzheimer's Disease Association, the incidence of dementia in Taiwan's population over the age of 65 is as high as 8%. Moreover, there is a higher incidence with age as well. Currently, there are approximately 900,000 family caregivers in Taiwan, most of whom have no caregiver-related background or occupation (hereinafter referred to as caregivers). In addition to taking care of patients with disabilities, caregivers also care for dementia patients. Nevertheless, both caregivers and care receivers may experience psychological stress due to family caregiver inexperience. Therefore, in addition to imparting care skills to family caregivers, it is imperative to continuously improve the quality of care and the expertise of caregivers for patients with disabilities and dementia. The capacity improvement course for the industry-university cooperation programme consists of four parts: (1) developing and implementing 18 kinds of multimedia instruction in basic home care, (2) conducting and completing one round of caregiver training courses, (3) organizing six sessions of basic caregiving training courses, and (4) conducting two sessions of dementia caregiver empowerment training courses. The outcomes are as follows: 1. The 18 kinds of multimedia instructional materials produced for home care skills are available in four languages (Chinese, English, Indonesian, and Vietnamese) to assist both local and foreign caregivers in learning. In addition to being published on the official website of the Nursing Department and Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, it can also be viewed on the official YouTube channel of the Nursing Department of Asia Eastern University of Science and Technology, with a total of 31,483 views. 2. A round of caregiver training courses was completed, and 38 participants passed the training, for a rate of 100%. Nearly 20 of the trained caregivers are currently employed at Far Eastern Memorial Hospital, with an overall satisfaction score of 4.5. 3. Six sessions of basic training courses were held to teach family caregivers correct skills for free. A total of 67 people participated, with an overall satisfaction score of 4.8. 4. Two sessions of dementia caregiver improvement training courses were organized to enhance the ability to provide professional services to dementia patients. A total of 46 people participated, with an overall satisfaction score of 4.8. With the support of professional instructors, facilities, and multimedia teaching aids, this initiative not only effectively improved the caregiving knowledge and skills of family caregivers but also trained professional caregivers to enter the long-term care industry through various resources. This effort will continue to deepen their professional competence and collectively elevate the quality of care provided.
