領導者的責任是使團體的目標或利益能夠達成。面對多元社會的挑戰與衝擊,學校的校長如何圓融的溝通、和諧地推展新理念以追求成功的學校經營。實為學校行政的重要課題。古今中外有關領導的研究甚多, 但鮮少具體的提出如何增進或培養領導者的領導能力。此研究是以全國技術學院之校長為對象,並採用BakerIII (1996)所編製的「領導能力成熟度問卷」(Leadership Competencies Assessment Instrument, LCAI)測量領導者對其成熟度(readiness)的自我知覺,從領導角色(leadership roles)、領導價值(leadership values)、領導技巧(leadership skills)三方面加以診斷。研究結果將作為國內技術院校行政運作之參考。

英文摘要

The main responsibility of a leader is to reach the goals or to gain the benefits for the whole group. To face the challenges and impacts from a multi-cultural system, and to manage a school successfully by communicating with each sub-unit and implementing policies effectively and efficiently is the major issue for school administrators to discuss. There have been many research studies regarding leadership, both in Taiwan and other countries;however, only a few can clearly indicate how to improve or train leadership. The main purpose of this study is to analyze the leadership of the presidents of technological colleges in Taiwan, from the readiness, leadership roles, and leadership values perspectives, by adopting the Baker III’s (1996)Leadership Competencies Assessment Instrument. The results of this study will be a valuable reference for the technological colleges’ administrators in Taiwan.
