本研究目的在於探討應用個案管理於冠狀動脈血管擴張術(Percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty;簡稱PTCA)病患對其健康照護品質之成效。採類實驗研究法,對某醫學中心132名接受PTCA之成年病患,分為實驗組(臨床路徑及個案管理模式介入措施)及對照組(臨床路徑及病房常規照護)各66名個案進行資料收集。並針對兩組病患之住院天數、醫療費用、病患自我照顧認知程度、再住院率、合併症發生率及住院服務滿意度之健康照護品質成效加以探討。研究結果顯示,兩組的PTCA病患其平均住院天數、平均醫療費用、病患自我照顧認知程度及住院服務滿意程度之比較,在統計上均達顯著之差異。由此可知,個案管理模式對於病患健康照護品質,是有其正向成效。本研究結果將有助於提供醫療機構對PTCA病患持續性品質改善、控制醫療費用及確保健康照護品質。
The purpose of this study was to investigate the outcomes of case management in healthcare quality for percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA) patients. A quasi-experimental research design was conducted on 132 adult patients from a medical center. The experimental group included 66 patients receiving both the clinical pathway and case management care and the control group included 66 patients receiving clinical pathway and routine care. The results showed significant statistical differences in the patients' length of stay, medical cost, the degree of patients' recognition on self-care, and the patients' satisfaction with medical services between control and experimental groups. These findings supported the effectiveness of case management in caring quality improvement and cost containment for PTCA patients.
