本文提出以HTML5為基礎的遠端桌面服務系統,能讓今日的智慧終端裝置不需要安裝任何外掛程式下,就能夠透過網路直接連結與操作雲端上的數種遠端桌面系統。實驗結果證明,本文提出的架構可用於目前現有的終端裝置(Android, iPad, iPhone)瀏覽器中,並且可應1024x768x24位元色彩深度的畫面內容變動率低於45%以下,其網路吞吐量(throughput)若輸出8位元色彩深度至裝置中, 最少需要有475Kbit/s, 24位元深度最少需要3Mbit/s, 若是需要用於變動率45%以上的應用,該終端裝置需要較高的網路頻寬與硬體資源。
This article proposes an HTML5 based architecture for accessing the remote desktop from recent smart endpoint devices such as Android, iPad, iPhone, etc. The architecture allows users to manipulate the desktop of various remote operating systems without install any third party software. Our experimental results show that the proposed architecture would be applicable to the browsers of the current smart endpoint
devices (e.g. android phones, iPad, iPhone). It works at the 1024 x 768 resolution with 24bpp color depth when the pixels change rate is below 45%; the minimum network throughput of using 8bpp and 24bpp (on the
device) are, respectively, 475Kbit/s and 3Mbit/s. In the case of a pixels change rate higher than 45%, a higher network bandwidth and hardware resources would be required.
