製作地圖過程中,選擇投影是一個重要的程序,它主要任務係決定製圖區從球面轉換至平面的製圖方程式。由於地球爲一不展面,要將此曲面表現到平面上,必然產生某種程度的變形。受到地圖變形的影響,地圖資料的正確性則發生變化,因此如何選擇適合的投影是極重要的課題。近年來在自動化製圖的帶動下,地理資訊系統與製圖軟體發展迅速,其中投影選擇已成爲此類軟體之基本功能,准其選取方式缺乏條件的引導,以致無法有效的選取適合於製圖區特性的投影,對非專業的製圖員而言,則更難達成。基此,本文提出一套適合於地理資訊系統中之地圖投影選取模式,俾利製圖自動化之應用參考。

英文摘要

The selection of map projection is very important for the production of maps. Its primary task is to decide the mapping equations for the coordinate conversion from the sphere to the plane. Since the earth surface is undeveloped, to represent it on the plane, there must he deformation. Affected by the deformation of maps, the accuracy of map data is also changed. Therefore, how to select a suitable map projection is an important subject. Recently, under the leading of automatic mapping, the Geographic Information System and mapping software have been developed swiftly. The selection of map projection had been the basic function of these software. However, if the selection method is short of the instruction for different conditions, it will not be efficient for the map maker, especially the amateur, to select an appropriate map projection. Based on this, a set of map projection selection mode suitable for Geographic Information System is presented in this article. We hope it would be beneficial to the development of automatic mapping.
