本研究旨在探討如何將衛星影像製圖技術應用於生態環境資訊分析領域。研究區荷那達生態系統(Jornada Ecosystem)位於美國新墨西哥州,近百年來由於氣候變遷與放牧流弊導致灌木嚴重侵擾牧地,進而衍生地壤侵蝕與水土流失等問題。本文針對灌木與牧草的生態特性提供製圖與分析策略,期能有效且系統地闡釋衛星影像製圖技術的價值。

英文摘要

Land degradation in the Jornada ecosystem thought to occur as a result of drought and overgrazing is characterised by a reduction in vegetation cover, effects of grazing and shrub encroachment, and deterioration of soil resources. Mixture modelling was found to be a reasonably accurate technique to measure land-cover materials. Using mixture maps a shrub to grass ratio map was derived to indicate land degradation. The shrub to grass ratio map is used to provide useful basic information for the identification of grazing gradients and soil degradation. It has been proved to be one of the most critical indicators of land degradation within the study area.
