本論文探討基值於小細胞基地台(Small Cell Base Station)之分散式(Distributed)[1][2][3]介面技術架構,藉由光纜介接分散架構的基頻(BBU)[4]與射頻單體(RRU),有效延伸網路涵蓋範圍、大幅提升建置彈性並降低佈建成本。通用公共射頻介面(Common Public Radio Interface;CPRI)為無線設備(RE)及無線設備控制器(REC)的通用介面技術。透過開放式的接口標準介面,定義基地台信號資料傳輸格式與控制功能,並可混合搭配不同廠商的無線設備。以此介面技術發展分散式架構應用,期冀成為下世代基地台主流。
This paper introduces the technology of distributed small cell interface known as Common Public Radio Base Band Units (BBUs) and Remote Radio Units (RRUs) with interconnection through cables such as optical fibers for network coverage elongation and cost saving. The CPRI is an interface technology for BSs links among the Radio Equipment Control (REC) and Radio Equipment (RE) in BBUs and RRUs. The specification of CPRI defines signaling format and control functions to support various interconnections among network devices of different vendors. CPRI is also expected to be the trend for the next generation of small cell BS.
