傳統上,利用規則圖幅分割的方式儲存圖檔資料,對於圖幅的管理也是以圖幅為基本的管理單元,這樣的方式雖然簡單,但也造成後續應用上的不便。隨著電腦科技的日益蓬勃發展,許多數值圖檔的資料正廣泛的應用於地理資訊系統,然而在運用這些資料之前,經常必須先進行許多圖檔資料的合併及編修工作,本文提出運用連續無接縫地圖的概念來解決上述的問題。本文首先探討現行圖幅管理的運作方式,其次規劃與設計一套適用於無接縫地圖系統的架構,並針對規則網矩形分割的數值地圖研擬其合併處理與空間索引方法。本研究使用邊界調整的方式來解決圖幅接合時因圖幅兩側物件不連續的情形。另外,以R-tree結合規則方格網的資料結構做為連續無接縫圓的空間索引方法。

英文摘要

The traditional way of map management is sheet-based. Digital map data is regularly divided into quadrangle maps. Although the storage and management of a quadrangle map is quite easy, it is rather inconvenient for further applications. With the burgeoning computer technology, digital map data has being extensively used in various GIS applications. However, quadrangle maps are usually required to be joined and recompiled as a single continuous map to suit large-scale projects. This paper presents the idea of seamless map to solve this problem. The study firstly explored the current operation of map management systems. Furthermore, the architecture of a seamless map system was planned and designed. Two main issues are discussed in this paper: the combination of quadrangle maps into a seamless map; and the creation of spatial index for the seamless map. In the seamless map system, the method of boundary alignment is used to deal with the discontinuity of map features while joining adjacent maps. R-tree and grid file combined structure is proposed to spatial indexing the resultant map.
