塑膠材料是用於食品包裝重要的材料之一,由於塑膠材料被大量使用,所產生廢棄物造成嚴重環境污染,而聚酪塑料可以取代許多以石油化學為基礎之塑膠,並且聚酪類具有熱可塑性、生物可分解性以及原料來自再生資源等優點,因此聚酪塑料在食品包裝上相當受到重視,然而目前微生物降解聚酪塑料相闋的研究並不多,本文即介紹聚酪塑料生物降解相闋的微生物與分子生物層級之研究進展,以作為發展聚酪塑膠材料再生應用之參考。
Plastic is one of the main materials used in food packaging. Due to mass applications of petrochemical-based plastics, disposal of their solid waste has caused serious environmental problems. Polyester has proven to be a viable alternative to petrochemical-based plastics for many applications. It is an environmentally attractive member of the polymer family because it is thermoplastic, biodegradable, and produced from annually renewable resources. However, a search of the related literature finds very few studies on the microbial degradation of polyester. This study utilizes microbiology and molecular biology to examine the bio-degradation of polyester. The goal of this study is to provide a reference for renewable application development of polyester plastic materials.
