評估視網膜神經纖維層厚度於近視眼之表現及其與屈光狀態、眼軸長的關係。本研究總共包括86 健康人、115 隻眼。他們依其屈光度分為四組,分別是非近視組(球面當量大於零,小於貳);低度近視組(球面當量小於零,大於負六);高度近視組(球面當量小於負六,大於負十二);極度近視組(球面當量小於負十二)。除了基本的眼部檢查外,他們並接受以光學同調斷層儀測量視網膜神經纖維層厚度。視網膜神經纖維層厚度於非近視組、低度近視組、高度近視組、極度近視組分別為112.3 ± 2.0 、102.7 ± 3.2 、99.2 ± 1.4 、及97.3 ± 3.3 m。與非近視組比較,近視三組均具有較薄的視網膜神經纖維層厚度(低度近視組、高度近視組、極度近視組p 值分別為0.01、0.00002、及0.0015)。視網膜神經纖維層厚度隨著眼軸長增加而減少(相關係數為-0.49,p 值< 0.0001);視網膜神經纖維層厚度隨著近視度數增加而減少(相關係數0.52,p 值< 0.0001)。因此,近視眼的視網膜神經纖維層厚度顯著的比正視眼薄,因此以光學同調斷層儀評估近視者的視網膜神經纖維層厚度,需考慮以屈光度/眼軸長度做校正。
Background and Purpose: To evaluate the retinal nerve fiber layer thickness (RNFLT) in myopic eyes and its relationships with refraction and the axial length. Materials and Methods: In total, 115 eyes of 86 healthy participants were enrolled in this study. They were divided into non-myopic (spherical equivalent; 0 <SE <+2D), lowmyopic(0 >SE >-6D), highly myopic (-12 D < SE <-6 D), and excessively myopic (SE <-12 D) groups according to the refraction status. In addition to general eye exams, RNFLT measurements were obtained by optic coherence tomography (OCT). Results: The average RNFLTs in the non-myopic, low myopic, highly myopic, and excessively myopic groups were 112.3 ±2.0, 102.7 ±3.2, 99.2 ±1.4, and 97.3 ±3.3 m, respectively. RNFLT values were significantly lower in all 3 myopic groups compared to the non-myopic group (p =0.01, 0.00002, and 0.0015, respectively). Moreover, the RNFLT decreased with increasing axial length (correlation coefficient =-0.49, p <0.0001) and with the diopter of myopia (correlation coefficient =0.52, p <0.0001). Conclusions: RNFLT was significantly thinner in myopic eyes than in emmetropic eyes. Therefore, the refractive status/axial length should be taken into consideration when assessing RNFL in myopes by OCT.
