為加速高能效共用平台設計時程,決定參考開放式硬體專案並客製化以符合高能效共用平台設計需求,該高能效共用平台採用內含 1GHz Cortex-A8之TI AM3358為核心處理元件,配合 Ethernet, USB, SD card等等常用週邊,軟體部份則是採用開放式硬體專案配合之Linux作業系統。為充分掌握平台能效狀況,客製化的過程中採用了雙層疊板設計,在不增加電路板面積的前提下新增一系列的電源功耗探測點,以利於取得系統功耗數值。
To accelerate the design of EEP, this project is based on an open source hardware project, in which TI AM3358, an ARM Cortex-A8-based processor, is used as the core processing unit. Popular peripheral interfaces such as Ethernet, USB, SD card, and etc. are also included. Linux, an open source software, is adopted as its operation system. For analyzing the power consumption of EEP, each power domain is separated and probing points are implemented in the hardware design customization.
