In “Jiang Han, Book of Odes”, the interpretation of the two words “Fu- fu (large volume)” and “Tao-tao (flowing current)” from the sentence “Large was the volume of the Jiang and the Han, and the troops advanced like a flowing current.” has been argued for years without a definite conclusion so far. Other than the collection of documents for the interpretation of “Book of Odes”, the conventional writing style of which- “repetition of lines” has to be observed, in addition with the reference of ancient phonics to figure out a complete interpretation of “Fu-fu (large volumes)” and “Tao-tao (flowing current)”. Therefore, starting from “Book of Odes” itself, “repetition of lines”, ancient phonics, and historical research papers will be used as a tool to clarify the descriptions and find out the explicit meanings of the classic in this article.
