社會上一般所習稱之「墮胎」，正式名稱為「人工流產」（Induced abortion），另又稱之「終 止懷孕」或「中止妊娠」，通常泛指故意結束妊娠，取出胚胎或者導致胎兒死亡的行為。至其 所涉及之爭議，則橫跨了宗教、政治、倫理、醫學、法律……等多個不同的層面，如從不同 角度來看，通常就有不同觀點的回應。爭議的觀點固然紛紜難一，本文則嘗試從墮胎行為之 社會現象、倫理反思、權利爭議與刑事責任等方面進行相關的介紹與分析，以期激發有益之 思考與論辯。

The common term “abortion” is formally named as “Induced abortion”, and is also known as “terminate the pregnancy” or “stop the gestation” which usually points to stop a gestation intentionally, by taking an embryo out or some behavior causing the death of gestation. The controversial issue crosses many aspects of society including religion, politics, medicine, and law. There is a different point of view according to different perspective of fields. Due to the diversity reacting point of view, the paper intent to introduce and analyze social phenomena, ethics rethinking, right debate, and criminal liability of abortion behavior, and expects to inspire a good thinking and reasoning for the issue.
