人是宗教性動物。宗教不只是提供人們心靈的寄託,也是給予人們一種精神方向之導引。本文是要簡要的說明筆者在朝陽科技大學所開設的「宗教與人生」通識課程的教學理念與課程設計,尤其是介紹筆者所規劃的潛在課程之境教設計:「宗教聖地參訪之旅」,這也是本門課程最主要的特色所在,換言之,本課程之特色,乃是透過分組參訪宗教團體寺廟、道觀、教堂,並藉由小組討論方式來進行的宗教體驗之旅,這種課程設計與通識教育強調『境教』之教學模式,息息相關,充份配合著。
「宗教與人生」主要是以人生或哲學的面向來研究宗教。本課程之設計宗旨,在於藉由各種類型的宗教教義之分析及各種宗教現象之反省,來探討宗教信仰與人生真諦之關係,除了授課教師按照每週既定進度的課程內容講授外,特別注重修課學生們「宗教生活的體驗與人生真諦的探索」。

英文摘要

Humans are religious animal. Not only does the religious performance afford providing the mental comfort for human’s minds, but it also directs people the right way to cultivate their spirits. Briefly this article attempts to bring out the basic and conceptual idea of the course, “Religion and Life”, which has been given instruction by the author in CYUT. And as a potential curriculum within this course, it turns out of a fundamental gravity for students to have an experience of visiting those religious or sacred shrines; that is, according to the instructor’s design, students need to be required to immerse themselves in certain religious surroundings, such as temples, churches, mosques and worshipping halls, in order to gather the firsthand data for understanding and discussion in groups. Therefore, it also means to fit the goal that students are able to learn from empirical and lively conditions while taking courses provided by the General Education Center in universities.
And furthermore, this course intends to step forward to the nature of religion by the way of life education and philosophy approaches; namely, students have to put their attention to the correlations between religious beliefs and life nature as they are taking care of the analysis of those specific preaches and reflecting certain phenomenon of religious performance. Besides exploring scheduled instructions weekly, students particularly need to concentrate themselves on developing the experience of religious life and the review of life nature.
