節能環保意識下,電力功率消耗對於電子裝置而言已是一大指標規格,而對於行動式電子裝置,舉凡手持式或行動載具(如:電動車)之裝置等,電池續航力更是影響其實用性之關鍵要素。行動電子裝置必須充分運用電源管理技術,始能將有限的電力資源做最高效率之發揮。本篇論文介紹工研院開發的行動電源供應模組-miniPAC Power Module,其支援到最高18VDC之電源輸入,是一配合電壓管理晶片所構成之系統,具備穩定輸出多種電壓與對電池充電之功能;並以PAC Duo多媒體平台的應用情境為例,進行動態電壓與頻率調變(DVFS)的電源量測,探討省電節能之效率,實驗結果顯示本行動電源模組的效能高於70%。

英文摘要

Under the consciousness of energy-saving and environmental protection, electric power consumption has become a main specification index for electronic devices. For mobile electronic devices such as portable or in-vehicle ones, battery endurance is their critical factor of practicability. Mobile electronic devices should fully utilize power management technology to maximize efficiency of their limited electricity resource. This article introduces the mobile power supply module, the "miniPAC Power Module", developed by ITRI, supporting the input voltage up to 18VDC, forming a system with voltage management ICs to provide functions of various stable voltage outputs and battery charging capability. A scenario of the combination of the miniPAC Power Module and the PAC Duo multimedia platform is taken as an example to measure the power consumption and dynamic voltage and frequency scaling (DVFS) to explore the topic of electric power efficiency. The experiment result shows this power module is of an efficiency of over 70%.
