本研究想要了解現今家長對才藝班的選擇態度,而將其研究目的分為三項:一、了解幼兒家長選擇才藝班的主要途徑;二、探討幼兒家長選擇才藝班的類型與三、了解幼兒家長對目前才藝班的考量因素。本研究採用問卷調查法,研究對象為高雄市鳥松區7所幼兒園之家長,以幼兒園為單位抽取樣本,共計發出105份問卷,有效問卷為95份。主要研究發現:一、父母取得才藝班資訊途徑以「親朋好友的介紹」的比率最高,其次為「才藝班海報宣傳」,而後為「幼稚園園長、主任或老師的介紹」...等,最少為「電視廣告」。二、父母才藝班種類的選擇在學習類的部份,以英語學習才藝為最高;其次為潛能創意開發。藝術類部份以繪畫比例最高;其次為學習樂器。在運動類的部份以學習舞蹈比例最高;其次為學習直排輪。三、家長在為幼兒挑選才藝班時會考慮因素仍以環境方面及師資課程方面為最主要的考量因素。較為不重要的則為是否有折扣或贈品及報章雜誌或媒體廣告的曝光度。四、家長社經背景與家長選擇才藝班之因素無顯著關係。

英文摘要

The purposes of this study were to understand: First, what were the ways that parents got information about talent classes. Second, what kinds of talent classes did parents choose for their children and the reasons that parent choose talent classes for their children. This study was conducted in Niaoson District, Kaohsiung. The instrument was a revised questionnaire. A stratified random sample of 95 parents with children age 4-6 was recruited in this study. There were some main results of this study were as follows: 1. Parents got information about talent classes were mostly from t friends or relatives and propaganda by talent classes. 2. There were three kinds of talent classes. First type was learning type, and most of the children attend English and potential development class. Second type was related to arts, and most of the children attend drawing and music class. The third type was related to sports, and most the children attend dancing class and in-line skates. 3. The environment and teachers characterizes were most importance while choosing talent classes for children. The least importance reasons were whether the institution provided discount or the advertisement by the institution. 4. There was no difference between parents' personal background and their choice of talent school.
