本研究目的在探討手術前由手術室護理人員給予手術衛教對改善脊椎手術病人術前焦慮之成效,研究採立意取樣,於2007 年6 月1 日至12 月31 日六個月,以新竹市某教學醫院行脊椎手術之病人全部收案,依入院先後次序為實驗組25 位與控制組15 位。控制組病人接受病房常規性照護,實驗組病人則於手術前ㄧ天由手術室護理人員給與手術衛教,包括實際帶領病人至手術室參觀及給與解說,及之後贈予每位病人一份手術衛教手冊,兩組皆於手術前一日下午及手術後第二天收集資料。研究工具為貝氏焦慮量表,研究結果發現兩組在前測時焦慮程度沒有差異存在(p >.05) ,但後測時實驗組焦慮程度明顯降低許多,且兩組達到統計上的顯著差異(p =.011) ,實驗組術前術後焦慮得分為14.8 (SD =8.1) 分降低至4.2 (SD =4.3) ,對照組為術前10.5 (SD =5.4) 降低至術後7.7 (SD = 3.4) ,顯示手術衛教可有效降低病人的術前焦慮程度。本研究可提供給手術室護理人員參考,發揮手術護理專業,進一步增進醫療品質。

英文摘要

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of an operation health education program that held by an operation room nurse on anxiety in patients with spinal surgery. A purposive sampling trial was used from June to December 2007. Forty subjects that received spinal surgery were assigned by time period to either the control group (routine care, n=15) or experimental group (operation health education, n = 25). Subjects in the control group received ward routine care while subjects in the experimental group received the operation health education program. An operation room nurse gave the operation health education before one day of operation day, including taking subjects visiting operation room and giving them an operation health education booklet. Data were collected before one day of operation day and the second day after surgery. Anxiety was measured by Beck Anxiety Inventory questionnaire. Results showed that the score of anxiety was no significance in both groups in pretest (p > .05). However, there was a significant difference in posttest (p = .011). Mean scores of pre-and postoperative anxiety of experimental group were 14.8 (SD = 8.1) and 4.2 (SD =4.3), respectively. Mean scores of pre-and postoperative anxiety of control group were 10.5 (SD = 5.4) and 7.7 (SD = 3.4), respectively. Data indicated that the operation health education could decrease anxiety significantly. The data of this study could be referential for operation room nurses to promote the profession of operation room nursing and quality of medical care.
