本文的核心觀點是天道的歷史性給予構成主體層面的「盡心」、「踐仁」的根本前提和動因，主體層面的「盡心」更多地是在回應天道的歷史性給予。為了表明這一點，我們先在文章的第一部分批評了牟宗三的主體詮釋學，指出其削減了天道的生生不息的創化之力。在文章的第二部分，我們結合《孟子》文本，論述了天道如何給予自身，並揭示了「思」在天道之給予的基礎上所具有的顯現天道的功能。結論部分對「性本自具足」這一中國哲學的核心命題做了簡要辨析。

The centre argument of this article is that the historical givenness of Tao constitutes human subjectivity, and the humane subject’s dedication is only a response to that givenness. To make this point clear, in the first part of this article, we criticize Mouzongsan’s interpretation of Menci, that Mou’s interpretation limits the creativity of Tao. In the second part, we discuss how Tao give itself, and how thinking manifests that givenness. In the conclusion, we discuss the thesis of the self-sufficience of human nature.
