歷經四十多年的美蘇冷戰對抗，造成東西方國家長時期的互不往來；國內製圖領域一直深受西方製圖理念的影響，但對共產集團的製圖方式卻非常陌生。由於蘇聯的解體與網際網路的興起，過去幾年來一般民眾透過網路也能購得難得一窺的前蘇聯軍事地形圖。本文作者將針對其中一幅台灣中部「台中」幅十萬分之一地形圖，先依地圖設計要素予以說明外，再以該區之數值地形資料與衛星影像資料等分別予以比較分析；其結果顯示地貌資料精度佳，地物資料精度欠佳（尤其是路網資料變化差異很大），僅期盼本文能提供國內製圖學者與專家們參考。

Because of forty years' enmity between America and the Soviet Union, western and east countries have not been associated with for a long time. In Taiwan, map makers are greatly influenced by western mapping theory, but are unfamiliar with the mapping methods from communist countries. However, owing to the collapse of the Soviet Union and the booming of the Internet, people have been able to buy the Soviet topographic maps through the Internet since a few years ago. In this article, the author focused on one of the Soviet topographic map, named Taichung at the scale of 1:100000. The research methods are as follows. First, the map design element are illustrated. Second, some digital topographic data and the satellite image are used to compare with the accuracy of the map. The results show that the accuracy of the elevation data is good， but the accuracy of the feature (man-made) data is poor (especially in road network). I hope this paper is helpful to mapmakers and map users.
