於車載隨意網路(Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks, VANETs)下提供多媒體串流服務則為眾多應用中相 當具有吸引力的特色之一,如緊急影像傳輸、路側影像廣播通知及車間影像對話。本論文,我們 於車內單元平台上設計並實作IEEE 1609/802.1 1p群組車隊通訊系統。群組車隊通訊系統可追蹤得 知群組車輛成員當前的行車位置與傳遞訊息給整個群組車隊,並增進駕駛與乘客的行車經驗。我 們並對所開發的群組車隊系統進行了實地現場試驗與測試,以評估其效能表現。初期實驗針對小 規模車隊,真實的分析實際行車情境之效能。其測試結果對於後續進行與設計大規模車隊應用給 予一個很好的準則,並對未來車載資通訊技術之研究,提供了基本學習之基礎。
Video streaming over VANET (Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks) is also an attractive feature to many applications, such as emergency video transmission, road -side video advertisement broadcasting and inter-vehicle video conversation. In this paper, we design and implement a Vehicle Group Communication System (VGCS) over real-life IEEE 1609/802.11p On-Board Units (OBUs). VGCS can track the group members’ current locations and broadcast audio/video over a vehicle group, enhancing drivers’ and riders’experiences when they cruise together. The performance of the developed VGCS was evaluated in field trials.Our initial experiment results profile the performance of VGCS in a small -scale real-life network and suggest some heuristics for designing a large-scale vehicular application. Our experiment data presented in this paper
can provide basic understanding for future advanced studies in this area.
