(1983)及Gouldet at.

(1983)& Gould et al. (1985)were adopted as the base of our questionnaire. Due to same differences existing between western & oriental counties. 5 additional questions were added in the original questionnaire. Therevised questionnaire were sent to 168 senior and high school students the response were collected and analyzed by SAS. A widely used statistical computer package. Theresults indicate some observations listed below: 1. There is No significant difference regarding the motivation participating in the track and flied competition between junior and senior high school students. 2. There is No significant difference in difference (sex) regarding the motivation of participating in the track and flied competition. 3. For junior students. there is no significant difference in different grades regarding the motivation of participating in the track and flied competition, however, the is significant difference for senior high school students in different grades. First year senior high school students have higher motivation that of second year senior high school students. 4. The exploratory factor analysis for SAS identified nine significant factors: characteristics of competitive track and flied, social status, skill development, personal relationship, affiliation, stress from school, team atmosphere, fitness, anticipation from others.
