「多年級」(multi-grade)與「混年齡」(mixed-age)班級教學模式發展甚久,甚多歐洲國家至今仍有為數眾多的多年級班級教學型態。臺灣少子化趨勢與小校小班情況嚴峻,104學年度小一入學學生少於三人之學校已有130所,可以預見學校型態單一班級「多年級」與「混年齡」教學模式將會是未來重要的實驗教育選項。本文概述「多年級」與「混年齡」班級教學模式的意涵、歷史發展、功能、特徵與優缺點,並申論「多年級」與「混年齡」班級教學的重要策略,包括良好的教學空間與環境布置、課程設計與分配適切、積極與有效的班級經營、教師教學及分組與獨立學習的交互運用、行政配合與家長及社區支持等,以做為國內未來「多年級」與「混年齡」班級教學之參考。本文同時強調,「多年級」與「混年齡」班級教學有無限可能與希望,是當前臺灣面臨少子化及中小學裁併校危機的另一種教育選擇。

英文摘要

“Multi-grade” and “Mixed-age” class teaching models developed very long, many European countries still have a large number of multi-grade class teaching type. The trend of small birth rates in Taiwan and the small class of small school situation is grim in experimental or alternative education. In 104 school year, a small primary schools where students less than 3 have 130 schools. As expectation, school type single class “multigrade” and “mixed age” teaching model will be the future important options. This paper summarizes the meaning, historical development, function, characteristics and advantages and disadvantages of the “multigrade” and “mixed age” class teaching models. In addition, the important strategies for the teaching of “multigrade” and “mixed age” classes are proposed, including good teaching space and environment layout, curriculum design and distribution of appropriate, active and effective classroom management, teaching and grouping and independent learning interaction, administrative cooperation and parental and community support. They can be used as the future “multi grade” and “mixed Age “ classes teaching reference. This paper also emphasizes that there are infinite possibilities and hopes for “multigrade” and “mixed age” classes, which is another educational choices for Taiwan’s futures schools.
