細菌纖維素是高純度、耐高溫、耐強鹼之微細纖維網狀聚合物,其具備高通透性、高保水性、高結晶度、高機械強度及良好生物相容性等獨特性質。因此,研究人員致力於利用細菌纖維素製成各類新型生醫材料,包括創傷敷料、人工血管、藥物傳輸系統等。本文回顧新近文獻,探討細菌纖維素的特性及生醫材料之應用。
Bacterial cellulose is heat and alkali resistant ultra-fine and highly pure polymer fibrous network. It displays several unique properties, including high permeability, high water absorption capacity, high crystallinity, high mechanical strength, good biocompatibility, etc. Therefore, researchers endeavor to use bacterial cellulose to develop novel biomedical materials in the biotechnology industry, e.g., wound dressing, artificial blood-vessels, and drug delivery systems. The purpose of this article is to review current literature of the characteristics and the applications of bacterial cellulose as biomedical materials.
