本論文主要是使用文獻分析與訪問的方式來探討二次世界大戰之後至今,即1945年至1993年,近50年間,台灣地區關於體育史學研究的回顧與未來應行的方向。筆者以國立台灣師範大學體育研究所的設立為分期點,將戰後台灣體育史學的研究分成二個階段,第一階段自1945年至1969年,第二階段自1970年至1993年。 第一階段體育史學研究的特色如下:一、衛譯性的著作較多。二、研究的方法多採用傳統的歷史研究法。三、著作多半是通史性的、介紹性的,而專題性的研究較少。第二階段體育史學研究的特色如下:一、專題性的研究逐漸增多,其中,以近代中國體育思想史的研究為最多。二、以體育史為主題的碩士論文在本階段陸續提出,研究的方法除了傳統的歷史研究法之外,也受科學典範的影響。三、研究的範圍偏重於中國近代史,惟,近幾年來,有關台灣體育史的研究日漸增多。體育史學研究未來應行的方向:一、落實體育史專業研究機構之職能。二、擴展研究者的研究視野。三、研究方法的重視與開發。

英文摘要

This paper investigates the content and trend of publications on the physical education history in Taiwan after world war II, from 1945 to 1993. There seacher divides the development of Taiwan's Physical Education history into two stages. The first stage from 1945 to 1970. During this period the publications have the following characteristics:
1.Most of them were translated. 2. The traditional historical study methods were commonly applied. 3. Most of them were general and introductive. Equal attention was paid to domestic and foreign history; However, fewer publication on specific topics were found. The second stage is from 1971 to 1993, and several noticable points are: 1.Works focused on particular topics were increasing, especially those about recent history of thoughts on Chinese physical education. 2. The study method was influenced by pedagogy and science; more serious and careful attitude on collecting and organizing materials was observed in master's theses on the physical education history. 3. The Chinese physical education history was more emphasized; particularly, the study of Taiwan part was increasing in recent years.
