本研究主要是以台灣高中職對在學學生作為研究對象,探討學生選擇技專校院所考量的因素及對於技專教育體系之瞭解程度。本研究問卷分北、中、南、東四區,共回收913 份,依隨機的方式兩兩配對方式。經由因素分析萃取出「外界評價」、「師資設備」、「校園宣導」、「規劃與輔導」、「親友評價」等5 項因素;透過集群分析,將學生分為「重視學校表現群」、「重視選校因素群」、「低視選校因素群」、「低視校園宣傳群」4 群。在實證分析上,探討不同區域、群組之學生對各選校因素構面之認知差異,結果發現,不同地區與集群的學生在選校考量因素上都有顯著差異。學生最重視校園安全、設備、學費與畢業後之就業情形;東區學生最不瞭解「技專教育功能」; 學生對技職體系瞭解程度不同則對選校考量因素有顯著的不同。

英文摘要

The objective of this study is on the factors which influence vocational high school students’ selection for advanced studies and the students’ understanding of technological education system. The questionnaires are collected in northern, middle, southern, and eastern districts in Taiwan. The convenience sampling and paired t test were the tools for the analysis. By factor analysis, we extract five crucial factors as follows: the evaluation of the public, the facilities and the teachers, the advertisement at school, the scheme and consultancy for the students, and the reputation of the students’ relatives. On the other hand, this study divide students into four groups -“ value the performance of the school beyond other factors”, “value the factors affecting of the school selection for advanced studies beyond other factors”, “ seldom value the performance of the school, and “seldom value the factors affecting of the school selection for advanced studies”. The empirical study shows that the attitude of the students to select the school for advanced studies was significantly different among various groups and living areas. Most of the students consider school security, facilities, tuition, and the employment after graduation as the most important factors when they select the schools for advanced studies. Compared to students living in other districts, the students living in eastern district of Taiwan are the least understanding the technological education function. Finally, the most important factors to select the schools were significantly different when the students have various understanding to the technological education system.
