本篇論文針對去區塊效應濾波器來提出一種雙重濾波器的設計,此設計可以支援H.264多重視點視訊編碼(Multiview Video Coding;MVC)標準中的3D立體高階檔次(Stereo High Profile)。本設計使用暫存器陣列來取代內部SRAM,並提出一種資料交換的機制來處理巨圖塊動態幀場變換(MBAFF)格式,實施結果顯示處理每個MBAFF格式的巨圖塊時平均花費147個時脈週期,在0.13微米製程下的最高工作時脈達到250MHz,總共使用55.2K個邏輯閘並且不需內部SRAM,吞吐量效能最高達到每秒處理1,700,680個巨圖塊,可滿足每秒120張的高解析度(1920x1080)多重視點視訊相關應用。

英文摘要

In this paper, a double-filter design of deblocking filter is proposed to support Stereo High Profile ofH.264 Multiview Video Coding (MVC) extension. Without using SRAM for local memory, the proposed designadopts register arrays with a novel data exchange mechanism to efficiently reuse the intermediate data whilefiltering picture coded in macroblock adaptive frame field (MBAFF) format. Cooperated with the proposedparallel filtering orders for double-filter design, the proposed filter takes 147 cycles per macroblock inaverage. It is synthesized under 0.13m CMOS technology and it can be operated at 250 MHz. At the cost of55.2K gates with 0 byte SRAM, the proposed design achieves the throughput of 1,700,680 macroblock/sec.Thus, it meets the requirement of 1920x1080 at 120 fps for multiview video applications.
