本文主要著重於一個利用交互耦合技術來實現寬頻低雜訊放大器並且仍然維持低雜訊電路的特性。此低雜訊放大器採用電流調整和線性分貝控制的方式來提供一個較寬的切換範圍和線性分貝增益的控制,其中增益的動態範圍可達到27dB且線性誤差範圍小於正負0.5 dB。在最大增益的情況下,雜訊指數的部分於整體頻帶內皆可達到3dB左右。低雜訊放大器包含所有控制電路在3.3V的操作上消耗約10.8 mA的電流值,而整體晶片的大小為945 um x 860 um.
This paper realizes a broadband LNA with cross-coupled technique to achieve a low noise characteristic. The current steering method and linear-in-dB control technique are employed in the amplifier to
provide a wide range and linear-in-dB gain control. The dynamic gain range is about 27 dB with linearity error lower than 0.5 dB. The noise figure of this proposed LNA is about 3 dB at the maximum gain of 17 dB. The current consumption of this design including the control circuits is only 10.mA under the 3.3V supply voltage. The chip area, including the bonding pads, is only 945 um x 860 um.
