本研究採縱貫設計探討國中生身體意象（Body Image）及自尊（Self-Esteem）的變化趨
勢，以及身體意象對自尊的影響。以臺北市某兩所公立國中九十四學年度七年級學生為母群
體，隨機選取9 班283 名學生為對象進行三年追蹤調查。所得資料主要以廣義估計方程式進
行分析。本研究主要結果如下：一、研究對象三年之整體自尊及生活自尊在各時間點的平均皆偏正情形，女生的整體自尊、社會自尊和家庭自尊三年總平均高於男生，但男生的身體自尊高於女生。二、男生和女生三年整體自尊在不同時間點發生變化；男生的家庭自尊和女生的學業自尊都
在七年級上學期至下學期間下降。三、男生和女生身體意象七層面在三年各時間點都偏正向。女生外表適應之三年總平均高於男生；而男生體能評價、身體滿意度的三年總平均高於女生。四、三年期間，男生身體意象的外表評價、外表適應、健康適應及身體滿意度等四層面，以及女生的外表評價、外表適應、體能評價和健康適應等四層面在不同時間點有明顯變化。五、研究對象身體意象之外表評價及身體滿意度層面與整體自尊有正向關係。

The aims of this study were to investigate the trends of body image and self-esteem, and to explore the influences of body image on self-esteem. By using random sampling method,9 classes, 283 seventh grade students were selected as subjects and followed for three years from two Taipei junior high schools. Five wave data was collected with self-administered questionnaire,and analyzed with generalized estimating equations. The main findings of the study were as follows:1. The scores of the subjects’ global self-esteem and self-esteem in aspects of life scale were all
above average. The average of girls’ global self-esteem, social self-esteem and family self-esteem were higher than boys’. The average of boys’ body self-esteem were higher than girls’.2. Boys’ and girls’ global self-esteem changed significantly in different time. Boys’ family self-esteem and girls’ scholastic self-esteem decreased significantly at seventh grade.3. The scores of subjects’ body image were above average. The average of girls’ appearance evaluation were higher than boys’. The average of boys’ athletic evaluation and body areas satisfaction were higher than girls’.4. Boys’ appearance evaluation, appearance orientation, health orientation and body areas satisfaction changed significantly in different time. Girls’ appearance evaluation, appearance
orientation, athletic evaluation and health orientation changed significantly in different time.5. The subjects’ appearance evaluation and body areas satisfaction had positive relationship with global self-esteem.
