本試驗旨在探討飼糧中添加七層塔(Ocimum gratissimum, OG)對白肉雞消化道及屠體性狀之影響 。選取體重相近之 1 日齡白色肉雛雞(Arbor Acres)200 隻,逢機分成 5 個處理組,於同熱能等 蛋白的飼糧中分別添加 0、0.1、0.3、0.5% 的七層塔粉末及抗生素(100 ppm 安莫西林),每處理 組 4 重複(欄),每欄 10 隻,公母各半,採平飼飼養,飼料與飲水採任食,試驗為期 35 天。試 驗結果顯示白肉雞肝臟及胰臟的相對重量以添加 0.3% 及 0.5% 七層塔組顯著地較抗生素組為重 (P < 0.05),添加 0.1% 七層塔組和對照組則介於其間。白肉雞十二指腸及華氏囊的相對重量以添 加 0.5% 七層塔組顯著較對照組為重,而 0.1%、0.3% 及抗生素組則介於其間,整段小腸相對重 量以添加 0.1%、0.3% 及 0.5% 七層塔組顯著較抗生素組及對照組為重(P < 0.05);在整段大腸 及盲腸的相對重量差異不顯著(P > 0.05);至於整段小腸及大腸、十二指腸、空腸、迴腸和盲腸的 相對長度,各處理組間均差異不顯著(P > 0.05)。白肉雞腹脂的相對重量以添加七層塔各處理組顯 著較輕(P < 0.05),胸肉和腿肉的相對重量各處理組間均差異不顯著(P > 0.05)。綜上所述,飼糧 中添加七層塔,有顯著提高白肉雞整段小腸、肝臟及華氏囊的重量,並減少腹脂的重量,故七層塔 對白肉雞的腸道發育及降低腹脂的生成具有正面的效果。

英文摘要

The aim of this study was to investigate the effects of dietary supplementation of Ocimum gratissimum on digestive tract and carcass trait in broiler chickens. Total two hundred 1-day-old Arbor Acres chicks were randomly divided into 5 treatments. Each treatments had four replicates with ten chicks (half of male and female), the dietary were isonitrogenous and isocaloric with 0, 0.1, 0.3, 0.5% Ocimum gratissimum (OG) leaves powder and antibiotics (100ppm Amoxicillin), respectively. Feed and water were supplied ad libitum with floor feeding. The trial period was 35 days. Results showed that 0.3% and 0.5% OG groups had significantly higher relative weight of liver and pancreas than the antibiotic group (P < 0.05), and the 0.1% OG group and control group were between them. The 0.5% OG group had significantly higher relative weight of Duodenum and Bursa of Fabricius than control group, and the 0.1%, 0.3% OG and the antibiotic groups were between them. The 0.1%, 0.3% and 0.5% OG groups had significantly higher relative weight of whole small intestine than that with the antibiotic group and the control group (P < 0.05). There was not different significantly in relative weight between the large intestine and the cecum, and the relative length of the whole intestine was not different significantly among the groups (P > 0.05). The supplement of OG groups had significantly lighter relative weight of abdominal fat (P < 0.05), and the relative weight of breast meats and thighs in all groups were not significantly different (P > 0.05). In conclusion, dietary supplementation of Ocimum gratissimum had a significant increasing effect on the weight of the small intestine, liver and the Bursa of Fabricius, and reduced the weight of abdominal fat. The Ocimum gratissimum has a positive effect on intestinal development and decrease the generation of the abdominal fat in broiler chickens.
